It is difficult to give a specific budget recommendation for those who travel to Bangkok, as it will depend on a variety of factors such as your travel style, the time of year you are visiting, and your personal preferences. However, here are a few things to consider when budgeting for a trip to Bangkok:

Accommodation: There is a wide range of accommodation options in Bangkok, ranging from budget guesthouses and hostels to luxury hotels. You can expect to pay anywhere from US$10-30 per night for a basic guesthouse or hostel, and upwards of $100 per night for a luxury hotel. Keep in mind that prices may be higher during peak tourist season (December to February) or for special events.

Food: Thai food is generally quite affordable, with street food stalls and small restaurants offering meals for as little as US$2-5. Mid-range restaurants and cafes will typically cost $10-20 per meal, while more upscale dining options may cost upwards of $30. Keep in mind that prices may be higher in tourist areas or in more upscale neighbourhoods.

Transportation: The public transportation system in Bangkok is relatively inexpensive, with the Skytrain and subway systems offering fares for as little as $0.50 per ride. Taxis are also readily available, but it is a good idea to negotiate the fare in advance or use a meter to avoid being overcharged.

Attractions: When you travel to Bangkok, many of the cultural attractions, such as the Grand Palace and Wat Phra Kaew, have admission fees of around $15-20. Other attractions, such as temples and museums, may have lower admission fees or be free to enter.

Overall, it is possible to travel to Bangkok on a budget, especially if you are willing to stay in basic accommodation, eat local food, and use public transportation. However, if you want to splurge on luxury accommodation and dining, or participate in more expensive activities such as river cruises or elephant treks, you will need to budget accordingly.

Another thing that I absolutely loved about Bangkok was the food. Thai cuisine is known for its bold flavours and fragrant spices, and the food in Bangkok did not disappoint. From the spicy tom yum soup to the sweet and savoury pad Thai, every meal I had in the city was a delicious treat. I also appreciated the fact that there were so many street food stalls and small restaurants to choose from, making it easy to find authentic and affordable meals no matter where I was in the city. Honestly, it is one of the main reasons I travel to Bangkok.

Thailand is known for its delicious and diverse cuisine, which is influenced by a variety of cultural and regional factors. Some of the most popular dishes in Thailand include tom yum soup, a spicy and sour soup made with shrimp, lemongrass, and chilli paste; as mentioned before, the pad Thai, a stir-fried noodle dish made with rice noodles, tofu, and shrimp; and green curry, a spicy curry made with coconut milk and green chilli paste. Thai food is often characterized by its bold flavours and fragrant spices, including lemongrass, galangal, kaffir lime, and basil.
