If you don’t want to be making treks across the city to get to your next bar or club, Bangkok has the perfect solution for you, 72 Courtyard. This complex has a wide variety of bars, clubs, and restaurants.
You can relax over a cocktail while bobbing your head to jazz classics in Evil Man Blues. Or after grabbing some surprisingly decent Mexican food in Touche Hombre, try a selection of world beers in Beer Belly.

Go-go all night
Thailand, for better or worse, is quite well-known for its raunchy nightlife and Bangkok is the centre of this debaucherous world. While probably not for the whole family, this aspect of Thai society can be really quite fun for those in the party mood. Bangkok’s go-go bars encapsulate this wonderfully.
The best of these go-go bars can be found in the Soi Cowboy area of Bangkok, one of the most vibrant streets in the city. Soi Cowboy’s go-go bars are tightly packed together on a road that is about 150 meters long.
It is worth noting that you are prohibited from taking any photos when inside these bars and the security can be quite strict for obvious reasons. But if you throw away your judgements and let yourself have a good time, you will undoubtedly enjoy yourself in these unique slices of sinfulness.
Standing outside the Tilac bar in Soi Cowboy, you’d be forgiven for thinking you’re in a scene from ‘The Hangover II‘ — part of which was, indeed, filmed in just this spot. While we can’t exactly recommend you follow the film’s plotline, you can have an incredible amount of fun here. Mirrors lining the walls and the multiple dancing stages make this venue one in which you can make memories (or lose them).

Reach for the sky at a rooftop bar
If debauchery isn’t your thing, don’t worry — that’s not all Bangkok has to offer. Far from it! The classiest (and often most enjoyable) Bangkok nights can be spent towering above the city at its glitzy rooftop bars. And there’s no shortage of them.
From Lebua at State Tower (yes, this was in the Hangover II too), to Vertigo, to Sofitel So, and Nest Rooftop, you’ll be sure to find the one that speaks best to you. Just be sure your pockets are deep. These ritzy rooftops are far from cheap!

Food glorious food!
Thailand is also a foodie paradise, coming fourth in the world in a CNN poll.
When in the north of the country, you must try a bowl or three of Khao soi, a curry noodle dish that is out of this world. Just on the edge of the Nimmana area is a beautiful modern-but-rustic restaurant called Ginger Farm Kitchen that serves an amazing version of this dish, along with a stellar selection of other northern Thai dishes. Strolling through the streets of Nimman is like flipping through a massive menu.
Koh Samui, another popular travel destination, has an incredible love for food with some fantastic restaurants, especially along the Chaweng Beach area. In fact, there’s such a food culture down on Koh Samui that in 2017, the restaurants along Chaweng Beach broke the Guinness World Record for the longest-ever buffet, which was part of the annual Samui festival. The record attempt saw them provide over 10,000 unique dishes!
